During a recent survey of private bankers and wealth advisors, the five top factors that were most important to clients in wealth management and investment decisions were: 1) wealth preservation (70%); 2) minimizing tax (62%); 3) minimizing risk (54%); 4) income return (49%); and 5) capital growth (49%). Other top investing factors that ranked over 30% were passing wealth to the next generation (succession planning), portfolio diversification and portfolio liquidity.
